Online registration for the 2026/2027 season is NOW OPEN!!

First time players at the Under 7 and Under 9 age levels will again be offered a discounted registration fee.
Even if your player does not intend to play as a ThunderStar or will be trying out for Elite Stream, it is imperative that you register your player with us as we are your home association.
Fees include two 1-hour practices per week, Central Alberta Hockey League (CAHL) affiliation, and jersey rental.
First Time Players
Participants who have never been registered in a Hockey Canada sanctioned program before must complete the following steps:
- Create a Spordle Account
- Create an HCR (Hockey Canada Registry) Profile
- Complete Respect in Sport Certification and ensure it appears in HCR
- Register with ThunderStars
Families who have previously registered in a Hockey Canada program can log into their Spordle Account to retrieve their HCR number.
Registration Fees
Early bird registration prices are in effect until July 31, 2026. After this date, fees increase by $100.
U7 - $325 (first-time player $200)
U9 - $600 (first-time player $300)
U11 - $700
U13 - $725
U15 - $750
U18 - $775
Payment Options
Payment methods and installment options are available within TeamSnap. Full registration payment is due by January 15, 2027.

One payment: 100% at checkout
Two payments: 50% at checkout, 50% on Sept 15
U9, U11, U13
One payment: 100% at checkout
Two payments: 50% at checkout, 50% on Sept 15
Four payments: 25% at checkout, then Sept 15, Oct 15, Nov 15
Six payments: 16.67% at checkout, then Sept 15, Oct 15, Nov 15, Dec 15, Jan 15
